Burn Permits may be acquired at the Fayette Fire Station on Saturday and Sunday mornings between 9:00 and 11:00 am from the first weekend in April until the last weekend of October, weather conditions permitting. All other times please call one of the fire wardens for a permit. If in doubt call the station at 685-9048. Permits are good for the day of issuance and expire at midnight of that day. Special exceptions may sometimes be granted by contacting the Chief Fire Warden or one of his Deputies.

Our story for this cause was recently in a local community advertiser, you may have seen it, or perhaps see me run by your house a bit more lately! More info is here (2 Maine sisters running in the Boston Marathon on behalf of the American Liver Foundation)
